Pool Sprint Training

The Team found themselves in their well known pool in Putney for another early morning Sunday training session. As always the focus was on the swimming and with fitness levels at a respectable level we progressed onto sprint training in the pool. The sprints consisted of three 0.5km stints with the aim to improve by 30 seconds each time. Incredibly draining, half of us managed to achieve the target; sweating in water is a strange sensation… After the swimming we were straight onto the bikes to head up to Hyde Park where we did one lap of fartlek training. Whilst running round Hyde Park we kept a keen eye on the Serpentine which is soon to replace Putney’s finest pool.
As you would have seen on our last blog and on facebook, the venue for our fundraising drinks is confirmed at The Cross Keys Pub on 12th May; spread the word and we look forward to seeing you there!
